The options and choices are always yours.

Adoption Insight needs to first receive proof of pregnancy and get a completed
intake form from you.  We will first look at your due date and the other
information on your intake form to determine the order of importance to you in
all matters. Someone from Adoption Insight will call you and arrange further
follow up per your requests. We always give priority calls to birth mothers.
Adoption Insight will work with you from your location or in circumstances
requested by the birth mother, we will assist birth mothers in relocation.

Birth mothers need rest and quiet time to reflect as well as a lack of interruptions
into their limited time to plan for the future.  Adoption Insight wants you to be
as comfortable in an environment of your choosing as is possible within the limits
of the law and circumstances.

The accommodations may be an apartment or condo which you can feel free to
make home. Some birth mothers even find employment and choose to stay once
the adoption relinquishments have been signed. Many birth mothers have used
the time wisely and continue on with plans they made while awaiting the birth.

The needs of birth mothers such as maternity clothing, food, utilities, phone or
communication, medical attention, counseling and transportation are all
arranged through Adoption Insight according to specific needs once many choices
have been presented and made by the birth mother.

In an effort to respect the privacy and in some cases the security of some birth
mothers Adoption Insight does not show or reveal actual locations of where birth
mothers may reside. It is completely up to the birth mother to inform family or
friends of all contact information and well being once in the arrangement with
Adoption Insight.

Birth mothers have no real restrictions other than those advised by medical
professionals and cautions necessary for the health and well being of herself and
child. Adoption Insight will require that resources available to the birth mother
be for her only and as agreed to for a birth father or birth mother's other children
prior to entering into an arrangement for assistance. Every effort is made to
acquaint birth mothers with the community and resources available to them
during their stay.

Birth mothers are introduced to the medical professionals and facilities that will
care for them and the child through the time of birth.  Detailed medical
information is taken and necessary appointments and follow up care are
scheduled.  Sometimes there is a request for a drug screening which you are free
to decline.  Be aware that for your safety and the safety of the child doctors
caring for you may need to know and do testing for drugs and STDs.  Your
medical records are always regarded as private.  State and Federal Laws require
medical records be regarded as private.

Adoption Insight will not release any information that is not allowed by law in
the adoption process or specifically authorized by you the birth mother.
Potential adopting couples generally want as much information as possible about
the health of the birth mother and infant. Many couples will request a drug
screen prior to making a commitment to a birth mother.  Drug screening of birth
mothers has been advised to couples by attorneys, medical professionals and
others they have come in contact with in this process.  Submitting to a drug
screen sometimes makes the adoption screening process quicker and allows birth
mothers additional choices of couples that make this testing a requirement of
their choices. The drug screening however, is always a choice and not a
requirement of a birth mother.

Adoption Insight will request a medical release form from birth mothers in order
to best advise you in you adoption plan and medical professionals available to
you. Adoption Insight will also act as an intermediary for you with potential
adoptive couples.  This is for your protection and privacy interacting with
potential adoptive couples prior to making a specific choice of adopting couples.

Birth mothers are also free to request a form for limited release of medical
information.  This form tells all medical professionals accessing your records
exactly what information and how much of it can be released to specific
individuals. If you are wanting or allowing an individual or additional medical
facility or insurance company access to your medical records please make sure
Adoption Insight is aware of this so every effort will be made to ensure your
desires are met and provide you with any forms or assistance needed.

Each birth mother has a unique set of circumstances and needs.  Adoption Insight
responds to each birth mother's needs in a unique manner.  The options are as
unique and varied as the circumstances that present themselves. Adoption Insight
pledges to you the birth mothers to do everything within our power and the law
to make this experience one of preferences chosen by you, as medically safe and
comfortable as possible.

Adoption Insight will meet with you (birth mother) and discuss your needs as
well as present profiles to you of couples matching criteria requested by you.  If a
birth mother feels Adoption Insight can meet her needs, and a family can be
chosen from the Adoption Insight resources, interview conference phone calls are
set up with potential couples wanting to adopt.  Many conference phone calls
will be scheduled throughout the process till the child arrives. The birth mother
is also free to limit or request additional conference resources at anytime in order
to be comfortable in the decision to adopt or meet her own emotional needs.

When a birth mother chooses to relocate there are temporary living
accommodations required. Some birth mothers have other children that need
accommodations as well. Since no two situations are the same we maintain
different accommodations to meet the needs of the birth mothers.  There are
times a birth mother may be in hotel accommodations near a hospital or birthing
center for a brief time. In special circumstances a birth mother may choose to stay
briefly with the family chosen for the adoption.  We do not have birth mothers
stay in college dorm type facilities.

Adoption Insight does business exclusively as an adoption facilitation service as
defined by the California Family Code.  Adoption Insight is not a California
Adoption Agency.
